What I do
I provide specialist intervention to support children through creative play and emotional support.
My passion
To provide children with a safe place to explore their emotions. My therapeutic intervention is designed to be child-led and empowering, helping them overcome their difficulties.
I feel it is crucial to help raise self esteem and I use specialist resources designed to address these issues. I create positivity and provide a no fail situation, where praise and encouragement can be given.
“I provide strategies and coping skills to children - this is the start of the healing process”
How my therapeutic intervention works
I treat each case individually and support is tailored to each child’s needs
A dedicated 1 to 1 session to provide crucial time for the child to explore their emotions and feelings
My intervention is best suited within schools, but if this isn’t possible can be run from a child’s home or other location
My sessions predominantly use arts and crafts as a tool to unlocking a child’s feeling and emotions
I provide boundaries and structure to help the child transition between tasks and improve their listening skills
I use role-play to re-enact school scenarios to address behavioural or friendship issues
I use games to creative positivity, practise sharing and improve social interactions
Provide anger management and bereavement strategies using resources such as Winston’s Wish activities
